Chile’s ALMA, Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimetre Array has noticed a galaxy that seems unusual to astronomers. Its producing stars at a completely unbelievable speed. The “Monster Galaxy”, also called as COSMOS-AzTEC-1, evolved 2 billion years formerly the Big Bang. It rolls in more than a thousand Suns worth of gas into stars every year. Researchers are confused regarding the behavior of galaxies, they are having some new data that can clear the changed behavior of galaxies.
Fundamentally, the clumpy gas present in galaxies has a powerful gravitational jerk on itself. It is higher than the force of the galaxies revolution or repulsion from stars and supernovae. The galaxies were revealed by astronomers before twenty years. These antique galaxies are considered to be the predecessors of modern elliptical galaxies. The new team of scientists from Japan, Germany, Mexico, and the US noticed AzTEC-1 at the maximum resolution. ALMA’s 66 radio telescope dishes were used by them in the Chilean desert. The astronomers inspected for the traces of carbon monoxide gas inside the galaxy. A map of the galaxy was fabricated by them depending upon their view.
Their notices uncovered huge, heavy clusters of gas. The clusters were compressed and were flopping than that of persisting from the pressure came from outside. These flopping clouds resulted in the evolution of stars excessively speedily and possibly over tire themselves in a period of 100 million years. Researchers stated that they found two different huge clouds which were at a distance of two thousand light years from the center. In most diverse starburst galaxies, stars are energetically evolved in the center. Therefore, it is amazing to find unbalanced clouds.
In most galaxies, clouds of gas crumble and originate stars. Which ultimately burst into supernovae, propelling gas in outside direction again and decreases the speed of star birth. Oppositely in Monster Galaxy, gravity is conquering. Excessive gas is being rolled in into stars, devoid of being propelled outwards forcefully to slow down.It’s mysterious, how a galaxy can gather this amount of gas prior to its season of crazy-fast star production.
